We make a very simple daisy tile using the upper-left 4-square-flip technique.

1) We begin with a photograph of a daisy, sized to 200 x 200 pixels. 2) We select the upper left corner of the image (100 x 100 pixels), and crop the image, or else copy and paste it into a new file.  
3) Then, using the 4-square-flip trick from lesson one, we paste-flip-paste the image into all four corners of a new 200 x 200-pixel file... and, we have a seamless tile! 4) To make it a bit more interesting, I've given the center a bit of a twist (in Photoshop, Filter: Distort: Twirl). This is pretty nice, but for a more elaborate daisy tile, go on to lesson 3.
